Individual, Couple, Family, and Group Counseling
A variety of services including individual counseling and counseling groups and workshops are offered by the YWCA Counseling Center. We offer our clients an opportunity to learn more about themselves - the way they think, the way they act; and to help individuals make changes to enhance the quality of their relationships and life in general.
Professional organizations can also benefit from our counseling services. Customized counseling groups for organizations and companies can be arranged to be held throughout the Santa Clara Valley and Peninsula areas. Groups are facilitated by trained therapists in a safe, supportive, confidential setting. Please contact us for more information on how we can help you meet the needs of your members or employees while possibly increasing productivity and decreasing absenteeism. Our counselors are trained to help with a broad range of issues affecting people throughout the Santa Clara Valley community, including stress, family relations, trauma, premarital and couples issues, depression, parental divorce, prenatal and post-partum changes, life transition, grief and loss, anxiety, and child behavior. We also provide court-ordered and Victim Witness Assistance counseling. Our affordable fees are based on a sliding scale, according to ability to pay. For more information on our Counseling Center services or to sign up for counseling, call our confidential intake and information line at (408) 295-4011 ext. 259. |

Counseling can help you to understand your feelings and problems and learn how to deal with these feelings and problems in your everyday life. Counseling takes place in a completely confidential setting. Confidential means that the therapist cannot tell anyone, about what the two of you talk about together, unless you are a danger to yourself or others, abused or neglected, or under 18 years old.
