Counseling Services
The YWCA Counseling Services Department strives to promote emotional, mental, and psychological wellness throughout the Santa Clara Valley. We offer a variety of short- and long-term counseling and support services to clients of all ages; individuals, couples, or groups; married or not married; adult or child. Our counselors are Master's level marriage and family therapy and social work counselors, who work under the supervision of licensed therapists. Trained to help with a broad range of issues including stress, family relations, trauma, premarital and couples' issues, depression, parental divorce, prenatal and post-partum changes, life transition, grief and loss, anxiety, and child behavior. We also provide court-ordered and Victim Witness Assistance counseling.
Our caring team of counselors provide high-quality counseling services in a safe and confidential environment. Our services are offered on an income-based sliding-scale. This ensures we can provide counseling for people at the very low- to middle-income levels, with services available for as little as ten dollars per session. We also accept Victim Witness Assistance and Santa Clara Family Health Plan insurances. In addition to individual and group services, we also provide counselors on-campus at 16 San Jose Unified School District middle and high schools. The goal of our program is to provide early intervention for teens dealing with challenging issues of adolescence. With accessible, compassionate YWCA counselors available on school campuses, teens have a safety net of professionals with whom to confront their issues. Call (408) 295-4011 ext. 259 to reach our confidential intake and information line for more information or to make an appointment. |
