2013 Eleventh Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Are you man enough to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®?
*1 out of every 6 American women and 1 out of every 33 American men have been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in their lifetime.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® brings together community leaders, businessmen, students and residents to walk approximately one mile (in high heels) from Plaza de Cesar Chavez through the streets of downtown San Jose. This is a light-hearted event which raises awareness regarding the issue of sexual assault in our community and as well as funds that assist in supporting YWCA’s Rape Crisis Center.
The YWCA Silicon Valley encourages you to “step-up” to make a difference in April. Walk a Mile proceeds will assist in supporting the YWCA Rape Crisis Center.
