Stock Donation

Gifts of stock are often the most beneficial way to support the YWCA of Silicon Valley, making a larger gift possible for our organization and greater tax benefits for the donor. Just follow the simple process outlined below. Of course, the YWCA encourages all donors to consult with their tax advisors before making a gift.

Contact your broker and tell them to transfer the number of shares of stock you wish to donate to the following account for the YWCA of Silicon Valley:

Next, inform the YWCA of Silicon Valley's Chief Development and Administrative Officer, Kathy Linton, of your donation at (408) 295-4011 ext. 217. If you prefer, you can contact her via fax at (408) 294-1391 or by e-mailing her at klinton@ywca-sv.org. This allows us to manage the process and ensure accurate record-keeping.

The YWCA will handle the rest. You will receive a letter following up on your donation as soon as the process is complete.
