Rape Crisis Center Volunteer Opportunities
Rape Crisis Center logo

Volunteers at our Rape Crisis Center help us minimize the traumatic aftermath of sexual assault. Our goal is to promote safety, freedom from abuse, and unrestrained mobility for everyone in our community. There are many ways Rape Crisis volunteers can help, including:

Rape Crisis Volunteer Advocates

Crisis-line volunteers provide crisis counseling to survivors of assault and their families over the phone or at the hospital. State-mandated training is offered twice each year for Rape Crisis-line volunteers.

Child and Teen Assault Prevention Education Volunteers

The Child Abuse Prevention and Teen Empowerment Programs are looking for volunteers to facilitate education and prevention programs for children and teens on the topics of child abuse and sexual assault.

For more information on volunteering at the YWCA Rape Crisis Center, please call us at (408) 295-4011 ext. 233. And don't worry if an area is new for you—training is provided!
