The difference you can make:
$25,000 will provide...

  • Salary for a facilitator at a school with at-risk youth for an entire school year.
  • Hourly pay, supervision, administration, and supplies for one associate counselor to provide 20 hours a week of counseling services in the School-Based Counseling Program and Counseling Clinic.
  • 125 two-night stays for victims of sexual assault.
  • Parenting classes for 200 low-income parents.

$1,000 will provide...

  • Transportation and attendance to three cultural events in San Jose for 10 disadvantaged teens.
  • An eight week stress-management counseling group to help up to eight women cope with anxiety and acute stress.
  • One month of subsidized child care for one infant.
  • Teddy bears for 60 children after a sexual assault examination.

$500 will provide...

  • Training for 20 pre-school teachers in curriculum for accreditation.
  • Snacks for three preschoolers for one year.
  • Clothes for 30 sexual assault victims after a sexual assault exam.
  • Two months of weekly subsidized therapy for a low-income mother suffering from postpartum depression.

$200 will provide...

  • Parenting skills classes for two families.
  • One class session for the prevention of child abuse or teen dating violence.
  • Two subject-specific clinical training sessions for 25 counseling interns.
  • Five backpacks and school supplies for at-risk youth to start the school year.
  • Lunch for one toddler all year long.

$100 will provide...

  • Art and educational supplies for one six-week program at one of our seven Childcare Centers.
  • Videotapes or DVD's to be used in parenting classes.
  • 10 students the opportunity to go to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum for the first time.
  • Materials for four parenting classes.
  • Art and play-therapy supplies for one year of counseling on two middle school campuses.
  • An overnight stay in a safe residence for one sexual assault victim.

$75 will provide...

  • Enriching board games to teach families with child abuse or neglect how to work and play together collaboratively.
  • One crisis counseling session for an adolescent contemplating suicide.
  • One college application fee for a student in the New Options program.
  • Diaper service for a child care center for one week.
  • A monthly bus pass for a victim of sexual assault to get to medical and counseling appointments

$50 will provide...

  • Hygiene items for 10 victims of sexual assault.
  • One field trip for 10 children.
  • School supplies for two at-risk youth.
  • Seven books for low-income families taking a parenting class.
  • One hour supervised visit so that a child can re-connect with a parent.
